Where your smile and your face are designed together.
Facial balancing is a planned, whole-face approach to injectables. Rather than treating a single line or a single lip, the practitioner evaluates the proportions of the face, the forehead, brow, cheeks, nose, lips, chin, and jawline, and then uses small, precise amounts of Botox and dermal filler to bring those features into harmony. The aim is not to change how you look; it is to make your features read as balanced, rested, and proportionate.
At Cosmetic Dental Studios, facial balancing is part of dentofacial aesthetics, the field where the smile and the face are designed together. The teeth and bite determine the height of the lower face, the support of the lips, and the depth of the lines around the mouth. Dr. Veytsman assesses that dental foundation first, then plans injectable treatment around it, so lips are shaped to complement the smile and the chin and jawline are balanced against the teeth that show when you speak.
Treatments are minimally invasive, performed in the studio in under an hour in most cases, and require little or no downtime.
Facial balancing is right for patients who want subtle, natural refinement rather than an obviously “done” look, and who value having the mouth and lower face assessed by someone trained in its anatomy. It is especially well suited to patients completing cosmetic dental work, since new veneers or a smile makeover change the proportions of the lower face and often call for small adjustments to the lips or chin to match.
Good candidates are healthy adults who are not pregnant or breastfeeding, have no active skin infection at the treatment site, and have realistic expectations. At your consultation Dr. Veytsman reviews your medical history, discusses what bothers you, and tells you honestly what injectables can and cannot achieve. Where the real issue is structural, worn teeth or a collapsed bite, she will say so and discuss a dental facelift instead of or alongside injectables.
Dr. Veytsman begins every facial balancing plan the same way she begins a smile design: with photographs and video of your face at rest, speaking, and smiling. She studies the proportions of your features, the way your lips move over your teeth, and the symmetry of your smile, then maps the small adjustments that will bring the face into balance. Botox and filler are placed with a dentist’s knowledge of the nerves, muscles, and vessels of the mouth and jaw, which is why her results are precise and her complication rate is low.
Because we treat the teeth and the face in one practice, your plan is coordinated. Lip enhancement is shaped to frame your smile, not compete with it. Masseter Botox that slims the jaw also protects new veneers from grinding. Chin and jawline filler is balanced against the projection of your teeth. This integration is something a med spa cannot offer.

Depending on your goals, a facial balancing plan can address:
The result is a face that looks rested and proportionate, with a smile that fits it perfectly.

Facial balancing is planned visually. Dr. Veytsman reviews your photographs with you, marks the proposed treatment areas, and explains the expected change in each. For lips and chin, small amounts of filler are placed incrementally with you checking the mirror between passes, so the result is never more than you wanted. Botox results appear gradually over one to two weeks, and a complimentary follow-up allows any fine-tuning.

Dentists are among the most extensively trained clinicians in the anatomy of the lower face: the muscles of expression and mastication, the branches of the facial and trigeminal nerves, and the vessels of the lips and cheeks. Dr. Veytsman administers local anesthesia to this region every day. That familiarity translates into precise placement, comfortable treatment, and a plan that accounts for how your teeth and bite shape the face.
The best injectable results are the ones no one can identify, and that requires understanding what lies beneath the skin.
Dr. Veytsman combines the following treatments into a plan tailored to your face. Most are completed in a single visit, and many patients maintain results with two to three visits per year.
Botox relaxes the specific muscles that create frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet, lifts downturned mouth corners, and reduces a gummy smile. Injected into the masseter muscles it eases clenching and grinding and slims a square jaw. Results appear in 3 to 14 days and last three to four months.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers restore volume and definition to the cheeks, chin, jawline, and the folds around the mouth. Dr. Veytsman uses them in small, strategic amounts to improve proportion rather than add fullness. Results are immediate and typically last 9 to 18 months depending on the product and area.
Lip enhancement shapes and defines the lips in proportion to your smile and facial thirds, with a natural, hydrated look rather than obvious volume. Jawline contouring uses filler along the jaw and chin to sharpen definition and balance the profile. Both are planned against your teeth and smile line.

Natural results come from restraint and from understanding the face as a whole. Dr. Veytsman’s facial balancing is guided by:
When it is balanced, no single feature draws the eye. The whole face simply looks well.

When lines around the mouth and a shortened lower face stem from worn teeth and a collapsed bite, a dental facelift restores the structure that fillers can only disguise. Learn how the two work together.

Facial balancing at Cosmetic Dental Studios typically ranges from $2,500 to $6,500 for a complete plan, depending on the products used and the number of areas treated. Individual treatments are priced separately when performed alone: Botox is priced by unit or area, and filler by syringe. Because injectables are elective and cosmetic, they are not covered by insurance. Financing through CareCredit and monthly plans are available, and you will receive a written, itemized quote at your consultation before any treatment.
